The Property

Palermo’s Falcone-Borsellino airport is under an hour away by car, and from this stretch of coast much of Sicily is within a couple of hours’ drive.


Everyday needs are covered close to home, with supermarkets, bakeries and cafés around Corso Filangeri and the streets nearby. For time by the water, the fishing harbour and beaches of Porticello and Sant’Elia are within walking distance, with rockier coves and quieter bays a little further along the shore. The town itself has cultural set pieces in the Baroque Soluntina basilica and the public gardens of Villa Filangieri.


Santa Flavia is part of the Capo Zafferano peninsula, the headland that runs out past Aspra and Mongerbino towards the walking trails and sea views of the Monte Catalfano reserve. Inland is Bagheria, a larger town known for its aristocratic villas and a celebrated food scene, and beyond it the road opens up to the rest of the province.
