Appartamento Antonino is a refurbished, fully furnished two-bedroom apartment of around 60 m² in Capo d’Orlando, approximately 1 km from the beach. It has a large corner balcony and a small private garden. Key handover is scheduled by the end of May 2027.
A Furnished Apartment with a Large Corner Balcony and Private Garden in Capo d’Orlando
Bright, comfortable and carefully maintained, Appartamento Antonino is a first-floor home with two bedrooms in a chalet-style residential building in Capo d’Orlando. This lively seaside town faces the Aeolian Islands across the Tyrrhenian Sea, with the green slopes of the Nebrodi Natural Park rising behind it. The beach is about a kilometre away, and the town’s modern marina is a short drive along the coast.
Inside, the apartment has been refurbished with a modern kitchen and bathroom, and its rooms are bright and welcoming. Its principal outdoor feature is the large corner balcony running along two sides of the building, deep enough for a table and chairs. At ground level, a small private garden adds a green space of your own.
In a residential neighbourhood with greenery and a family atmosphere, the apartment could suit a couple or a small family. It also offers an opportunity to buy a home in Sicily for holidays near the sea. Its current condition allows the new owner to use it without planning an immediate refurbishment.
Appartamento Antonino is sold fully furnished, as shown in the virtual tour. The current owners have bought a larger home better suited to their family and will hand over the keys by the end of May 2027.
The Property
Seen from the street, the chalet-style building has a bright, welcoming appearance. It forms part of a group of homes built to the same design, with well-kept façades, balconies and external staircases. A marble spiral staircase leads to the apartment and serves just four homes: two on the first floor and two above.
At ground level, the private garden has greenery and ornamental flowerbeds. It is also a practical place to keep bicycles or a scooter.
The apartment offers approximately 60 m² of internal space. The land registry records a total cadastral area of 71 m², a weighted figure that includes outdoor areas only in part. It should therefore not be interpreted as 71 m² of internal space, nor does the difference represent the balcony’s actual size.
The front door opens into a bright, open-plan living, dining and kitchen area. Pale walls and floors and contemporary furnishings give the room a fresh appearance. Furniture includes a sofa, TV unit and dining table for four.
The kitchen occupies its own corner, with grey and green fitted units and a dark worktop. It has a built-in oven, a four-burner gas hob and a window providing light and ventilation.
The smaller bedroom is currently furnished with a single bed, wardrobes and a desk, making it suitable as a child’s room, guest room or study. The main bedroom accommodates a double bed, wardrobes and storage units and has its own air-conditioning unit. Both bedrooms open onto the balcony, the main bedroom through a French window.
The refurbished bathroom has a large glass shower enclosure, wall-hung sanitaryware and a vanity unit. Light wall tiles contrast with a darker floor, and a window provides ventilation.
The corner balcony runs along two sides of the apartment. One side looks across the neighbourhood towards the surrounding hills, while the other overlooks greenery. It is accessible from the living room and both bedrooms. At one end, an enclosed utility room contains the washing machine, a laundry sink and shelving.
The electrical installation has been renewed and includes a residual current device. Independent mains gas heating supplies radiators in every room and provides hot water. Air-conditioning units are installed in the living room and main bedroom.
The wooden windows are single-glazed and well maintained, with external shutters and mosquito screens. The apartment is connected to mains water and drainage, and door-to-door waste collection is available. According to the owners, the water supply is continuous.
The apartment has a certificate of habitability. No major façade works are currently reported as planned.
Surroundings
Appartamento Antonino is on Via Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa, named after the author of The Leopard. The writer worked on parts of his celebrated novel while staying with his cousins at Villa Piccolo. Their home in the hills outside Capo d’Orlando is now a museum surrounded by parkland.
The sandy shoreline is approximately 1 km away. The palm-lined Lungomare Andrea Doria provides a setting for evening walks, while supermarkets, shops, restaurants, pharmacies, schools and healthcare services support everyday life throughout the year. The nearest supermarket is approximately 600 m from the apartment.
The marina is around 5 km away. Opened in 2017, it offers more than 550 berths, boating services, refuelling, boat storage, restaurants and shops. It is a starting point for boat hire and excursions towards the Aeolian Islands, including Vulcano, Lipari, Salina, Panarea and Stromboli.
Heading west along the coast, you pass Sant’Agata di Militello and Santo Stefano di Camastra, known for its traditional Sicilian ceramics, before reaching Cefalù and its Norman cathedral, approximately 80 km away.
To the east, Tindari’s sanctuary and Greek theatre overlook the Marinello lagoons, around 35 km from the apartment. Further along lie Milazzo, Messina and Taormina, approximately 135 km away. Inland, the Nebrodi offer woodland, lakes, hiking trails and mountain villages.
Capo d’Orlando-Naso station has direct rail connections to Palermo and Messina, with indicative journey times of just under two hours and around one hour respectively, depending on the service. The coastal motorway connects the area with Palermo and Catania airports. Reggio Calabria Airport is another option via the ferry across the Strait of Messina.
Potential and Optional Improvements
With the apartment refurbished and furnished throughout, any immediate changes would largely depend on personal preferences. The existing single-glazed windows can remain in use, while replacement with suitable double-glazed units could improve thermal and acoustic insulation. An additional air-conditioning unit in the smaller bedroom is another possible improvement.
If you would like to adapt the apartment to your own taste, our project management service can help organise the work. We can coordinate local tradespeople, obtain quotations and keep you informed in your own language while you are away. You can read about previous buyers’ experiences on our testimonials page.
The nearby marina may appeal to buyers who enjoy boating, with berths subject to availability. Alternatively, using the smaller bedroom as a study could suit someone who works from home.
For buyers considering a permanent move, our guide to relocation tax incentives provides an introduction to a topic that should be assessed according to individual circumstances and the rules in force.
Appartamento Antonino could serve as a permanent home or a furnished base for holidays on Sicily’s northern coast. It will be available for use following key handover, scheduled by the end of May 2027.
